Working with SCO Panner

Changing the scale of the map

The map shown in the panner has a scale in the same way that a map in the real world has a scale. The scale factor tells you how much larger than the map is the workspace. For example, your workspace is 10 times as high and wide as a map that has a scale factor of 10. The smaller the scale factor of the map, then the larger the panner has to be to contain it. Conversely, a large scale factor means a smaller panner is needed. If you select a large scale factor for the map, you will reduce the size of the panner but you may not be able to read the titles of the symbolic windows shown on the map.

You can specify the scale of the panner using the *pannerScaleFactor resource. The default value for this resource is ``14''.
