Specifying the UNIX window keyboard

To specify a particular type of keyboard for the UNIX window (German, French, Italian, and so on):

Select Keyboard from the Options menu.
Select from the pop-up list the keyboard type that best matches the keyboard set for the X server.

NOTE: This menu option does not dynamically change the keyboard mapping for the X server or other applications; it simply aligns the UNIX window's keyboard mapping to be the same as the one selected for the X server. Therefore the X server keyboard must be configured before you configure the UNIX window. See the Graphical Environment Guide .
