ODI

ODI (Open Datalink Interface) is a Novell LAN device driver interface that is used in the NetWare environment. SCO SVR5 1 and 2 provides the ability to run modified NetWare server ODI driver binaries on UNIX systems using an interface emulation scheme. ODI-on-Unix emulation involves runtime support that provides the necessary entry points to emulate a NetWare ODI environment.

The modified Netware server ODI drivers that run on SCO SVR5 2.0.x will run on SVR5. However, we actively encourage customers to migrate ODI drivers to native UNIX drivers based on the MDI interface. The transmogrifier tool is not supported in SVR5 and binary compatibility for ODI drivers is being phased out after SVR5.
