SCSI interface

The Small Computer Systems Interface (SCSI) provides a computer with device independence within a class of devices. Using this interface, devices can be added to a host computer without modifying generic system hardware or software. The SCSI interface on SCO operating systems is compatible with the ANSI X3.131-1986 and X3T9.2/85-52 Rev 4.B standards.

SVR5 implementation

On SVR5, SCSI device drivers (as well as drivers for non-SCSI mass storage devices) are implemented with the SDI interface; see ``SDI'' and Developing SDI storage drivers

SCO OpenServer 5 implementation

On SCO OpenServer 5 systems, SCSI device drivers are implemented with the OSDI interface; see ``OSDI SCSI driver interface version for SCO OpenServer 5''.
