Terminal fonts

The X Server allows the display driver to cache fonts into the off-screen memory of the card. The X11R6 server supplied for SVR5 and AIX 5L has an enhanced font-handling interface; the font-handling interface supported for earlier releases is still supported but it is strongly recommended that existing drivers be modified to use the new interface.

The fonts that are cached have the following characteristics:

The SetClipRegions(D3nfb) and DrawFontText(D3nfb) routines in the nfbWinOps(D4nfb) structure have been implemented to support font caching.
