Using the NFS automounter

Setting the default mount point

The default mount point for all mounts is /tmp_mnt. Like the other names, this is an arbitrary name, which you can change when you enter the automount command with the -M option. For example,

automount -M /auto ...

causes all mounts to happen under the directory /auto. The specified directory is created by the automounter if it doesn't already exist.
