Configuring the Network Information Service (NIS)

Reinitializing a server

If it becomes necessary to reinitialize a server, reexecute the ypinit command on that server. Situations under which it might be necessary to reinitialize a server include a bad configuration wherein a slave or copy-only server or a client was initialized before the master server.
