The SCOadmin services library
This is a Tcl library that enhances SCO Visual Tcl within the context of the
SCOadmin environment. These enhancements are documented in
``Writing a SCOadmin manager''
and include:
-
standardized composite widgets such as a status bar, tool bar, and
two-list display.
-
helper functions that conveniently carry out standard functions for
SCOadmin managers (such as displaying errors and providing help).
-
access to SCOadmin networked objects that are a
standard part of UnixWare, including user accounts, groups,
and printers.
The traditional function of a library is to save developers from
creating multiple divergent versions of routines to perform the
same task. Use of the SCOadmin services library can help the
developer save time and ensure their SCOadmin manager looks
and behaves like existing managers.
The SCOadmin services library is automatically loaded if you are
running /bin/osavtcl, the SCOadmin version of SCO Visual Tcl.
(The C and C++ version of the SCOadmin services library is located in
/usr/lib/libsysadm.a.)
