Changing the active boot partition

This procedure allows you to specify a boot from an alternate UnixWare partition, or from a DOS or other operating system partition (if one exists). Most operating systems have their own version of fdisk.

Use the following procedure to change the active boot partition:

  1. Execute the following command:
       fdisk

A menu containing several options will be displayed.

  2. Select the Change Active (Boot from) partition option.

  3. Follow the instructions presented. See fdisk(ADM) for detailed information about the operation of fdisk.
