suword --
store a 32-bit word in user data space
Synopsis
int suword(caddr_t addr, int val);
Description
suword stores one 32-bit word
in user data space.
Arguments
val-
32-bit word to be stored in the user's data space.
addr-
Pointer to the address in user space.
The address does not have to be word-aligned.
Return values
suword returns -1 if the address addr is
invalid; otherwise it returns 0 (zero).
Usage
When this function is called from the
read(D2oddi)
or
write(D2oddi)
entry point,
the driver code must
increase u.u_base
and u.u_offset
by
the number of bytes transferred,
and decrease u.u_count
by
the number of bytes transferred
after the call completes:
u.u_count -= cnt;
u.u_offset += cnt;
u.u_base += cnt;
