Sorting icons in the icon box

To rearrange the order that the icons are displayed in the icon box, select one of the following items from the Panner/Icon menu on the Root menu:

Sort Icons by icon title: into alphabetical order of icon labels
Sort Icons by name: into alphabetical order of instance names within a class
Sort Icons by client title: into alphabetical order of window titles

NOTE: The icons may appear to be incorrectly ordered if you sort them by client title or instance name. This is because their icon title need not be the same as the corresponding client title or instance name.

You can also use the *iconPlacement and *iconAutoPlace resources to control where icons are placed. See ``OSF/Motif window manager resources'' for more information.
