Testing and debugging MDI drivers

Checking the driver package

Use the ndcfg command to test a SVR5 network adapter's bcfg(DSP/4dsp) file. To trace all steps that were taken to configure a network adapter driver into the kernel, check the /usr/lib/netcfg/tmp/ndcfg.log file that is created each time the driver is installed with either the Network Configuration Manager or the -L option to the netcfg command. These commands make it much easier to identify configuration problems. Note that the Network Configuration Manager prevents a number of configuration errors by preventing drivers from being installed at conflicting IRQs or addresses. See resmgr for more information.

The O5ndsampl package includes the aoflint utility that can be used to check AOF syntax. See ``Adapter Options File (AOF)'' for information about the format of AOF files.
