Using Mail

Message header information

Headers included with a message you are creating include:

``Subject''
The subject of the mail

``To''
The login names, or mail addresses of one or more users to whom you are sending the mail.

``CC''
The mail addresses of one or more users to whom you are sending ``carbon copies.'' These people receive a copy of the message.

You can also pull down the sash (the small rectangle) below the list of headers to fill in additional information:

``Blind CC''
The mail addresses of one or more users to whom you are sending ``blind carbon copies.'' These people receive a copy of the message but do not appear on the distribution list, so other users will not know they have received the copy.

``Keyword''
One or more words that categorize this mail. You can use keywords to look at a related group of messages (those that include keywords that you specify) by selecting Specified List from the View menu.
