Dialing up remote systems
The
ct(C)
command connects your system to a remote terminal
with a modem attached.
The
cu(C)
command connects your system to a remote system.
The remote system can be attached via telephone lines
or via a simple serial line. These commands differ from
the UUCP commands discussed earlier in that your session with the
remote system is interactive.
The remote system sees you as just another user on the system.
