Using Mail

Using the file selection window

A file selection window displays when a Mail operation prompts you to choose a file, folder, or attachment; for example, when you specify that you want to include a file or folder in a draft message.

In the file selection window, the directory pathname shown in the ``Filter'' field determines which files are displayed under ``Files''.

To change the files displayed, select a path from the list under ``Directories''. Alternatively, click in the ``Filter'' field, type a new pathname, including /* at the end of the path, and click on the Filter button.

NOTE: When you select Save To, the file selection window does not include a ``Filter'' field or Filter button. Because mail messages are saved in your Mailfolders directory, only files in that directory are displayed.

To select a file, click on its name under ``Files'' or edit the path in the ``Selection'' field, and click on OK.
