Using SCO Shell

Starting SCO Shell

To start SCO Shell, type scosh at the command prompt (on a character display terminal) or in a shell window (on the desktop). After a few moments the main SCO Shell screen appears. If you are unsure how to get to the command prompt, see ``Getting to the command prompt''.

Your system administrator might have configured SCO Shell to start automatically when you log into your computer. In that case, you enter SCO Shell directly without stopping at the operating system first.
